Only in Bollywood
If you're ever in Mumbai, there's one place you should definitely go to see. Everyone's heard of Bollywood. This is India's take on America's Hollywood, with a  twist and lots of shake. And while bollywood has certainly made its way to becoming a huge industry and stamped its mark in the  movie world, locally and internationally, this place which I'm talking about has been a big instrument in making Bollywood what it is now, a tremendous success.
Where else can you possibly have thousands of movie produced in a single year but Film City? It's a one stop shop for everything a person needs to make a hit movie. This sprawling studio complex is located at Goregaon East, Mumbai which is easily accessible by public transportation. There's only one thing you need to prepare before you go and that's to get permission to tour the place, which is easy enough if you're polite and know how to use a phone. This thing settled and your good to go and have a merry time.
If you're seeking a little adventure and feeling a bit daring, then you would want to try hanging out at Colaba and get picked to become a part of a Bollywood movie. Now is this exciting or what? You get an unlimited tour of Film City and have your 15 minutes of fame at the same time. It's like hitting two birds with one stone. Or maybe, three or more, because you also get to see the famous stars, wear fantastic costumes, eat, sing, dance and just do stuff you don't get to do normally.
And the dance numbers. Don't you just love those grand production numbers Bollywood films are famous for? Even if you don't understand a single word that is being said, you get hooked and actually understand what's going on because of the expressive way they sing and dance. What more if you're witnessing a live performance up close. There's no way you would be able to resist. Those cool dance moves are just too infectious for anyone to be immune to it.
The sets are even more amazing in person than on screen. You walk in a seemingly bare building on the outside and find a sparkling palace inside. There's a castle, a museum, a huge bedroom, a disco, a grand ballroom, a school, hotel, bar, and just about every place you could think of to shoot an indoor scene. Going through these realistic sets is like walking in your dreams where every door you enter opens to another world, another dimension.
But that's not all. Outside, there's more to see , as man-made landscapes are meticulously made to recreate the real thing. Be it a park, a lake, a temple, a street or a countryside, you'll be awed by the effort and talent they put into making Film City a premiere movie studio.
The biggest thrill however is getting the chance to meet the actors in these movies. Prepare to be starstruck by those handsome male leads with their mesmerizing eyes and shriek-inducing smiles. Get ready to be infatuated by gorgeous big screen princesses with their alluring looks and vibrant auras. Fan or not, there's always something about meeting a movie star.
So gear up and be blown away by the magic of Mumbai's Film City.
